Meet our world class staff
Luke Sanders is a lifelong Nashville native with a penchant for fighting. He started his athletic endeavors as BMX rider. But this fighter wasn’t meant to balance on two wheels. Luke entered his first official bout as a 17-year-old. The gritty Montgomery High Schooler with a big smile lied about his age so he could compete against adults. He won.
The victory was the first on what would be a long road to success. Luke worked odd jobs – as a plumber, as a bouncer, as a top AT&T regional salesman – while pursuing his passion. His hard work eventually paid off (and if you know Luke, you know he is the hardest worker around). Luke went 11-0 traveling the United States fighting in televised MMA bouts.
In 2016, he signed on with the world’s largest and most elite fighting organization: The UFC. Luke still fights today (he’s 2-3 in the UFC and constantly training for his next fight). Luke prides himself in staying connected to his hometown, which he gives much credit to for his current success. He is focused on creating a community where people can grow and accomplish their goals.
When Luke isn’t in the ring or training, you can find him in East Nashville hanging out with his daughter, Riley, and his pup, Bux.
Hiep Tran is the general manager of Main St. Fitness. He brings a lifelong commitment to fitness and an unbelievable work ethic. Originally from San Francisco, Hiep was the first American born in his family. He grew up one of five kids and was an avid high school basketball player. He later developed an interest in strength and conditioning and has since dabbled in the fitness industry.
Hiep also has worked in the food and beverage industry for many years and – despite the long and sometimes late hours – has made being active a priority (his son, Tanner is a wrestler and his other children all practice jiu-jitsu).
Hiep loves the feeling of completing something he never thought he could do and hopes to bring that same dedication and passion to the clients of Main St. Fitness.
Kat Kennedy is a Nashville transplant from Florida. Guided at an early age by her ultra-marathoner dad, Kat started as a long-distance runner. From there she went on to become an NPC bikini competitor. Needing to push herself further, Kat traded her sparkly bikini and heels for some mud and barbed wire. She became an elite obstacle course athlete racing in world-qualifying divisions of Spartan Race and Tough Mudder. In her true impulsive nature Kat decided one night to try MMA and never looked back. Kat loves to push herself and hopes to inspire every member that walks into Main St. Fitness to achieve their goals while still having fun.
Taylor Cross has done it all, from from bodybuilding to Crossfit. Nowadays, you can find her mostly on mats because one of her favorite thing to do is Jiu Jitsu. Her style of training is marked by variety — you will never do anything twice. She loves to think outside box and have fun while getting work done. You will always see a smile on her face!
